Recognizing that the safety of our employees, clients and other individuals near the job site is the most vital aspect of our operations, Forest Contractors has implemented its own safety program. Safety considerations are first and foremost in the planning and budgeting of any construction project, and Forest Contractors insists on the most thorough training of all employees in order to mitigate safety risks on the construction site, including practices, methodology, equipment use and site maintenance. Our safety program includes:

  • A written policy with stringent delineation of responsibilities according to position
  • Detailed inspection, investigation and non-compliance procedures
  • Worker orientation to health and safety and site-specific hazards
  • WHMIS training
  • “Supervisors’ Training Program”
  • First Aid training
  • Association training on the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations for all supervisors
  • Company health and safety policy for all workers and additional specialty training as required
